I am sorry for neglecting this blog since my last updates. There are so many happy and sad news and progress for my family and my work life. I enjoy everything I have but still the ambition sometimes control me for flying as high as the sky, I have to put more effort to reach that.
In the beginning of June 2017, I attended a workshop to polish my ability in academic writing. Mega Yucel was the instructor. That was a collaborative project between IPSK deputy LIPI and University of Queensland, Australia. Even though I attended a writing class, no change happens in my writing score at IELTS test. Overall, I still got 6.0 huhuhuhu.... that's my third attempts at pursuing only 6.5 of overall IELTS score. I am so desperate... and never been thinking to try for the 4th occasion. it is expensive IELTS, since I have to pay about Rp 2,850,000 for once test :( ...
When I got the results in July, I was crying because my score did not show significant changes. still 6.0 for the overall score. When I came back to home, the children cheered me up. I am blessed by having them, 4 gorgeous children. and after that, I opened up the laptop and started searching universities which require only 6.0 for their English requirement. and start to enrol at Nottingham University.
I remembered that it happened on the same day and time I got the IELTS result, an email from IDB officer came in my email. I was stated that I passed the first phase review for scholarship award and will through 2nd phase review with 9 other Indonesian candidates. waawww.. very amazing. This is very prestige scholarship from Jeddah,Saudi Arabia. They provide only 50 scholarships given to all IDB member countries, means 1 person for 1 country.
what a big bless from Him... my Allah...
long story short, in October 12th, when I sent an application of DAAD scholarship (Germany scholarship) and I was in train station with my children, an email came in my email. it was an email from the IDB officer. the email stated that I passed and got the IDB scholarship.... OMG.... can you imagine it?.... Me.. this lowly person who always believe in Him...
speechless, no words could I say but a prayer and gratitude to Him. my Saviour, ALLAH SWT.
since after, I am happy and the peak moment was my IELTS score ... Finally I got 7.0 for my overall score.
